"Paleo has been cancelled this year, the farmer who rents out his field to the festival, has changed his mind he doesn't want all the disruption."

No, don't panic it's not true.

It was the April fool I pulled on my teenage daughter on Sunday. I couldn't keep the pretense up for long as she believed the hoax and was not happy when she found out the truth, "That was so mean Mum ".

That's the thing about these April fools, they have to have an element of plausibilty in them to be believed. As I then went and fell for an April Fool myself in the afternoon.

A very popular UK blogger called Troubled Diva has brought out a book, a collection of blog stories (shaggy blog stories) written for charity. The blogger is a man. In his blog he said he had been contacted by BBC Radio 4 by a researcher called Ria Polloff, who wanted him to read a selection of his stories out on the radio for Woman's Hour. So, in his blog he says;

“As I say, all very exciting - but perhaps you might have spotted a slight flaw in Ria's proposal. She thinks I'm a woman. Deal breaker? Originally, I thought so. Now, I'm not so sure. After all, this would indeed be "great publicity for the book". All I have to do is convince Ria and her team that I Am A Lady.

This is where you come in. Seeing as it's a Sunday, and that no-one from "Woman's Hour" will be at work today, we've got just enough time to run a little experiment. As I'll almost certainly be removing this post before Monday morning, you'd better be quick.

Take a listen to this reading from the book which I recorded in the cottage yesterday afternoon. Does it sound sufficiently female? Could I "pass"? Please let me know in the comments. And if I merely sound foolish, then please don't hesitate to let me“.

Well I listened and was about to post a comment and then I realised , it was the the researchers name that did it......

P.S Be warned if you decide to listen to the recording yourself. It's rather risqué.
