GenevaLunch has moved: here is how to use these archives, change feeds

April 17, 2007 - 10:22 posted by Ellen Wallace

[Update 30 May: if you've reached these pages through a search engine such as Google, please use the URL www.genevalunch.com to reach our new home.]

GenevaLunch changed its platform - the underlying software and server - 15 April. The new site is at the same address, www.genevalunch.com, with all the previous articles in these archives (note that the address in your browser window is http://genevalunchcom.site.securepod.com).

Changing the feed

The new feeds are -

for GenevaLunch

  • Atom feed: http://www.genevalunch.com/genevalunchrethink/atom.xml
  • RSS 1.0 or RDF: http://www.genevalunch.com/genevalunchrethink/index.rdf
  • RSS 2.0: http://www.genevalunch.com/genevalunchrethink/rss.xml

for GenevaLunch community

  • RSS 2.0: http://www.genevalunch.com/genevalunch_community/rss.xml
  • RSS 1.0 for Community: http://www.genevalunch.com/genevalunch_community/index.rdf
  • RSS 2.0 for Community: http://www.genevalunch.com/genevalunch_community/rss.xml

To search for articles in GL published before 15 April 2007 If you want to search for articles published before 15 April, you must use these archives and its search tool. Searching in Google will send you to a broken link. You can search here using key words, from dates to names to type of story.

If you want to link to a story in these archives, open the story itself and the address in your browser window will give you the correct URL. Example: I want to find an article about winemaker Raymond Paccot, one in a series called "A year in the life of a Swiss winemaker." I search for Paccot and see a list of articles and images, select the first one and it takes me to a page with this URL: http://genevalunchcom.site.securepod.com/node/1723. I can copy and paste this to create a link.

You will notice that images in articles appear either as blank boxes with a red x or you will have only the photo's text description. If you click on either of these the file with the image itself opens.

Questions or problems? Please don't hesitate to contact the editor: editor@genevalunch.com. Thanks for staying with us during the changeover!
